Survey: how do you feel about the peace negotiations between Israel and Palestine by 2009?

They must keep trying.

The two sides must come to an accommodation that will for the most part be acceptable to both sides.

Both must be willing to compromise on their to this point inflexible stands on the area, and the hate and killing must stop,

Where there is a problem, there can be a resolve.

My Mom used to say "there is no such thing as a problem as every problem has an answer, if there is no answer to the problem then its not a problem but a fact. So there is no such thing as a problem." Sadly in the case of peace between Israel and Palestine is not a problem but a fact even in 2009.

Reply:All talk, going nowhere. Arabs rejected a partition plan 60 yrs ago; Israel was attacked by her neighbors on her first day of independence; Many neighbors will not rest until she is destroyed; Israel gave up the gaza strip, but is being rocket attacked from there; and Hamas and Fatah are fighting each other, such is the hatred there. As Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu said: ' there will be no peace until they [the Arabs] love their children more than war.' [Those people who think every conflict can be talked into resolution are not acknowledging that all cultures do not think 'American.'.]
Reply:There is no solution to the Arab-Israeli Conflict.

The best thing Israel can do is hunker down and defend herself, until the Messiah comes.
Reply:The negotiations are a joke.....Here is why: The elected government of Palestine is not even present. If you are going to have peace talks maybe both sides should be present.

Condalessa Rice is maybe the worst person in the world to mediate...After all we all know how much women are respected in the middle east not to mention black women who are puppets of the most hated government in modern history....For gods sake The bush adminstration is only at 30% approval in america.

In gaza one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. It is straight up economic genocide.

Here is a good start Israel tears down the wall and gives back a 20 mile boarder with a 2 mile DMZ.

For real just have the federal reserve print up some more money out of thin air and just buy the Palistinians out and move them to jordan. Then pay jordan to take them. Then send the bill to Israel. Give Peace a chance.

Here is agood start
Reply:too little too late by Mr. Bush. I get the impression Bush wants to leave at least one legacy before he leaves office but the region is still too tense for any peace soon.

They need to keep trying.
Reply:they will come to nothing
Reply:Hopefully favorable results. A common ground must be established---I think it's possible as long as Palestine don't make impossible demands.
