Survey about characters on General Hospital?

I am new to the show having only watched All My Children and I would like to know people's opinions about certain characters. I want to know whether you love or hate them and what about the characters makes you feel that way. This way I can get a broad view of the show and not be so confused.

When I watched GH, Sonny was my favorite. The Mafioso with a heart. It didn't hurt that he's always been a nice looking dude.





Luke Spencer -


He's been there so long that he's become a fixture. Without Laura (Genie Francis) he went a little "weird" but he seems to have gotten his stuff together now.





Elizabeth Webber -


I don't know a lot about this character.





Jason Morgan -


Jason was Sonny's #1 henchman. He's an interesting character. Deep, brooding....but has a heart at least as big as Sonny's.





Carly Corinthos -


She's a bit on the flaky side. She loves Sonny, but can't get along with him as she doesn't follow orders very well %26amp; Sonny loves her but he can't bend to her will.....there's a huge clash of personalities in that relationship.





Lucky Spencer -


Luke %26amp; Laura's boy. He tends to get involved in things that don't concern him %26amp; ends up in trouble for his efforts. A lot of Lucky's problem is that he falls in with the wrong people too easily. He's a follower....doesn't matter where he's being led.





Lulu Spencer -


Lulu was a baby when I saw her last so I really can't comment on her.
Reply:sonny-love/hate: love him cuz he loves his fam and friends would do ANYTHING to protect them.he's a good dad. hate him cuz he can be ruthless and controlling and a lil egocentric.





luke- love: he's funny, he's fun to watch. he can be a jerk, and is not the best dad but he loves his kids and if he's in town he will do anything for them. he's 1 of the legends on the show, u can't hate him even when he's being arrogant and stubborn.





liz-ah well i used to love her but now i want them to kill her off. safe to say i hate her. she used to be sweet and nice. 1 of the most caring ppl on the show. now she is just a b*tch. cheating, having an emotional affair with a man she won't let father his own child and being a hipocrite. all she does now is passes judgement on everyone esle.





jason-love/hate: he's a good guy for the most part...well minus the ruthless killer in him. he will do anything including kill for the ones he love. he is emotionless which i hated alot a few yrs ago. now i hate him cuz he slept with liz, lied to sam about the baby then broke up with her to be with liz which still hasnt happened yet and i hope it never does.





carly-love love love:always have and always will. there is only 1 point in carly's life that i didnt like smtng she did and that was steal tony from bobby before she knew they were mom and daughter. i didnt want her with sonny but i grew to like them as a couple. i always hoped that` she and jason would hook up seriously. but she is a strong woman who goes after what she wants.





lucky-love: lucky was a torn sweet heart as a teen cuz he found out his dad raped his mom and liz was raped right around the same time he found out. he helped her get her get thru it and that is how their fairy tale began. they made a cute couple. but then he got on drugs, slept with maxie to keep up his supply, which led to the break up of his marriage. but i will not blame that totally on him. things could have been worked if liz wasnt so hot on jason. but now he's hooking up with sam so i'm happy.





lulu-love love love: she is truly a mini carly. she is a spit fire who will tell anyone what she thinks.she's strong and kind and caring. i only wish she would hook up with the jackel.
Reply:Sonny Corinthos - aka bad boy, runs the mob, forever in love with former wife and mother of his children and hot couple with Carly Corinthos, had a major epsiod of bipolar disorder but now hes on meds, can be considered hot





Luke Spencer - trouble maker but a good guy, alcoholic, lives on the edge of his pants, not afraid to break the law, clever, husband of Laura the love of his life whom is in a "permanent" state of ?....shes in a mental ward and not with it all doesnt talk or move, shitty father in the past getting better now





Elizabeth Webber - sorry dont like her full of the poor mes IMO





Jason Morgan - Sonys hot side kick, missing something in his brain after accident that makes him less emotional then the normal person





Carly Corinthos - My favorite, shes fun, crazy and smart...and sometimes not so smart, sometimes makes decisions on a whim to solve problems and gets in trouble doing it. Jasons her best friend, and Sony her forever love no matter how many times they pull apart they end up back together





Emily Quatermane and Nichola Casidine are very important characters too





Nicholas is a rich hot prince so you must learn about him


Emilys his love but not a huge fan shes nice but boring

Reply:Everybody loves Sonny. He's the mobster with a heart of gold. Luke is an icon. A loose cannon that makes the show fun to watch. Liz has changed alot. She's a favorite of many. Jason, the mob enforcer. A hearthrob. Carly has been a wild character from the beginning. She is a force to be reckoned with. Lucky. He used to be so different. He and Liz have really changed and I can't say I am thrilled with the effects. Lulu used to be a black haired character, can you believe that? She is a welcome addition to the spencer clan. GH is a good soap. welcome. You will enjoy it.
Reply:Sonny is OK - sometimes. Other time he can be a jerk too. I just love Luke. Luke has always been my favorite since Luke was with Laura. Elizabeth is a whiny clingy person. She sacrifice her marriage and her family for mobster hit man Morgan. Jason - i can't stand him sometime either. Other times he is OK. Carly - i just love Carly. Carly has come a long way from a girl with a chip on her shoulder where she wanted to hurt mom - bobby. I like lucky - lucky is Luke Spencer's son with Laura. Laura is in a catatonic state. That is because it had to do with her step father rick putting her there. Lucky and Elizabeth had a fairy tale romance like Nicholas had with em. Until Jason Morgan came between them by getting Elizabeth pregnant with his child. Lulu is lucky sister. She is also Luke and Laura's younger and only daughter together. I like lulu. But - she is till growing up. She is like her father in some ways. And she is like her mom in other. Lulu is like Laura when it come to learning a lesson - she has to learn the hard way. And other ways she is like her dad. Lulu likes to live life on the edge. She has the thing for courting danger like Luke.

Luke Spencer - It took years but he is somewhat redeemed for what he did to Laura.





Elizabeth Webber - She's okay but she needs to get of the fence.





Jason Morgan - I like Stone cold





Carly Corinthos -Busy Body Needs to admit that she is still in love with jason.





Lucky Spencer - Needs to change his name clueless





Lulu Spencer -Not a fan of hers.





Jerry Jax- I like him alot he does not hide the fact he is a bad guy.

Sonny-he is Mr. Tough/Sexy guy and the mob boss


Luke- he is crazy and funny and a good character on the show


Elizabeth- she is confused in every way and needs to get with Jason already!


Jason- he is soo sweet and caring under that tough exterior..he is usually the hit man


Carly- she is so fun, she gets herself in all kinds of trouble

Lucky- so cute! i wish he would not mess around with sam though she is bad news she tries to hurt too many people


Lulu- so sweet! all the guys on the show love her and want her..she is great


Jax- is my favorite character. so cute and charming
Reply:Sonny - I love his character. Maurice Benard is an amazing actor. Maurice has struggled with depression and bi-polar disorder and so he's able to bring the reality to the show. His character is dark and somewhat mysterious. He's brings something different to the show.

Liz - Love her character. She's a beautiful person on the inside and out.

Jason - Love his character. He's kind and generous, when he wants to be. He may be a professional killer but he has another side to him only some people see.

Carly - Gotta love her! He's stubborn and independent. She shows her true colors and it doesn't bother her what other people think.

Lucky - Can't stand him anymore. He's a liar and a hypocrite. He thinks he's better than everyone else because he's on the side of the law. He's needs to fall off the face of the planet and take Sam with him.

Reply:Sonny Corinthos: Pedophile mobster who slept with underage Karen Wexler after drugging her and forcing her to strip in his night club. He now supposedly no longer likes little children, but a pedophile is a pedophile. He has two children of his own (well one stolen from AJ Quatermain who he hounded to death) and runs the Port Charles mob, he supposedly does not run drugs or women.





Luke Spencer: The heart of GH. A man living life on his own terms making his own rules and loving his wife, his children, his sister and his former wife and eternal love Laura. Without Luke there is no General Hospital





Elizabeth Webber: Brood mare for the town bad boys. Mother of two bastard children one by dead mobster-wanna-be Zander Smith and the other by EMO Hitman Jason. She lied to her poor husband about her son Jake for over a year. She will eventually be the baby machine for Sonny, Max, Milio, Johnny and Trevor so she can have a kid by each mobster in the show. She should have been the heroine of the show instead she is wasted as a character





Jason Morgan: EMO Hitman who despite the fact that he is a cold blooded killing machine seems to be the center of the show mostly I suspect because the actor Steve Burton looks good without his shirt.





Carly Corinthos: From tramp, the moll to business woman and mother the only character on the show to show any development over the past couple of years. Like her Uncle Luke she lives life on her own terms and is fiercely loyal to her family





Lucky Spencer: SHOULD be the hero of the show but instead is made to be mockery because as a police office in Port Charles he must appear to be dumb so mobster Sonny and Jason look smart. Hopefully he will eventually become his father's son and take his place center stage on the show





Lulu Spencer: If they can avoid any more child porn with this 18 year old sleeping around she could become a great character, Independent, fierce and adventuresome I only fear that they will saddle her with a kid via Johnny or Logan and destroy her character forever
Reply:Sonny Corinthos - History-owned strip club, gave drugs to minor daughter of Scott Baldwin to control her. Became anti-hero after hooking up the Brenda Barret and bringing down mob boss Mr. Smith with Luke Spencer. Had sex with best friends (Jason) girlfriend Carly Benson who he hated. They eventually fell in love after losing that baby. Married her 4 times had another child with her and adopted her son Michael. During a breaks in relationship had baby with Alexis (Christina) and Alexis's daughter Sam (baby deceased) Manic Depressive.


I really enjoyed Sonny when he was with Brenda now I find him annoying and usually fast forward through his scenes.





Luke Spencer - The best character ever written on soaps. But only because of the great acting of Anthony Geary. I have watched this character develope for over 30yrs. There is not enough room here to extoll all of his adventures. I really love the way he is interacting with the women in his life now. He loves his sister Bobbie, daughter LuLu and wife Tracy, plus he has great chemistry with Skye and I really love when he is onscreen with Alexis. I wish that they would bring Laura back. They were great





Elizabeth Webber - I love her. She has grown up on the show, went from being a bratty spoiled girl to rape survivor to strong lovely women. Her scenes with Jason are poignant and heartbreaking.





Jason Morgan - Very sweet man...for a hired killer. I love him with Spinelli and Elizabeth and Sonny's kids. I think the actor is very good at showing that Jason wishes he had made different decesions when he was younger. He would be a great father if he hadnt gotten mixed up with Sonny.





Carly Corinthos - Strong women. She has grown so much over the years. If you are be one of the people she loves she is very loyal. Do not cross her. Very impulsive doesnt think things through. And I think that she takes way too many risks since she is a mother.





Lucky - probably the most boring character on the show now.





Lulu Spencer - I really like the way they are developing this character. She should be fun to watch for a very long time.
Reply:Sonny Corinthos - Well you just gotta love Sonny, especially when he flashes those dimples. But I think the show focuses on him too much %26amp; needs to expand horizons. I do like him w. Kate though!!





Luke Spencer - Luke is cool. I like his continued rivalry w. Scott, it adds spice to the show, especially w. the Lulu/Logan romance. He %26amp; Tracy are a good match!





Elizabeth Webber - Can't stand her! I am so tired of her holier-than-thou attitude when she's like the biggest h0 on the show. Also, she never takes responsibility for her actions - it's always someone elses fault.





Jason Morgan - I used to LOVE Jason. I mean he's smokin' hot.... when his hair is cut. Ever since things went south w. Sam I'm not liking him too much. I also cant stand the pathetic excuse for a relationship he has w. Elizabeth. Eew! He needs a new woman!





Carly Corinthos - Carly is great bc she speaks her mind %26amp; that is refreshing. However, she needs to start putting her husband (Jax) 1st. I understand Jason's her bff %26amp; Sonny's her baby daddy, but come on!! Jax could go find a hotter chick that would be devoted to only him. But I do like them together!





Lucky Spencer - I have never really liked Lucky.... that is until he got w. Sam. I think those 2 go really well together. She brings out the man in him whereas being with Elizabeth made him lame - like her!





Lulu Spencer - I love, love, love Lulu! she is definately my 2nd fav. female on the show (Sam being #1). I like her %26amp; Logan together and hope they can make it work! She makes mistakes (like we all do) and owns up to them. Again I LOVE Lulu!!
Reply:Oh goodness - you really need to make your opinions, cuz everyone else has such strong opinions of their own, and you will get them on both sides as far as loving or hating a certain character. I'm fairly new as well, I've only been watching since earlier this year. It will be different for you, cuz some people who have watched the show for years may have different opinions, cuz they are more familiar with the show and the characters and their history. I'm not an 'in-depth' kind of person, but here are my thoughts on the characters.


Sonny - he doesn't take crap from anyone at all, but he also shows that he really cares about certain people, so you know he has a heart deep down


Luke - I don't know him that well, he just seems 'there'. Obviously he's always been a main character, but I'm not too familiar with him.


Elizabeth - comes across as a goody-goody, which bugs the others. She tries to do what's best, but sometimes I think she actually makes things worse in doing so. I wish she'd quit tugging Jason's heart around right now, and just do what her heart is telling her. And I wish she'd let Jason be the father that he is.


Jason - OMG! I am totally in love! Yes, I know he's a hitman and whatnot, but there are times he shows such compassion that it makes you forget that part of things. He's a great father to Jake when he's allowed to be. He would do anything to protect the people he cares about.


Carly - she's very fiesty, and does what she wants. She's not afraid to go after things or investigate things, but she often finds herself in trouble when she does. She usually goes against other people's advice, and does her own thing. But she also cares a lot about the people close to her.


Lucky - right now I don't like him. Although him and Elizabeth both made mistakes, he seems not to be able to let go of it. I think he has no right telling Liz and Jason what to do when it comes to Jake. I wish he'd run away with Sam for awhile and just get lost.


Lulu - she's lately been kinda like a mini-Carly. She falls for the wrong people too easily, but gets sucked in and sees a side of them the other characters don't. But she also thinks she's invincible, and does what she wants whether or not it will get her in trouble, and once again, against other people's advice. But I like her.


Hope you enjoy the show - I have, and it's pretty much the only one I watch, other than a little OLTL. Like I said, regardless of the answers you get here, you'll end up forming your own opinions going by what you know yourself of specific characters. Have fun watching and learning!

Elizabeth Webber - soon to be ex of Lucky. Has sons Cameron and Jake(Jason is secretly his dad); she is also a nurse





Jason Morgan - works for Sonny as a hit-man of sorts; used to date Sam but is now in love w/ Liz





Carly Corinthos -ex of Sonny mom of Michael and Morgan. She is now married to Jasper Jax and they own the Metrocourt hotel





Lucky Spencer - Luke's son; ex of Liz and also a cop





Lulu Spencer -daughter of Luke and Laura; dating Logan

Carly-Me me me- no one matters to her except her and her children. She's in love with Jason.


Lucky- Lukes son- tries to not be like his father, did a stint with drugs, was married to Elizabeth. Can't see the forest for the trees.


Lulu- the wayward waif of Lukes- she's always afraid Luke will leave, which he does often.


Maxi- Police chief's step-daughter and always trouble.


Spinelli- computer geek working for "Stone Cold" (Jason)


Monica- Just lost her husband and now her daughter.


Rick- Sonny's half-brother who is the DA. He's a jerk.


Alexis- she was married to Rick had his child but had Sonny's child earlier.


Jasper Jax- business tycoon, reclusive. Married to Carly. Always goes for the damsel in distress.


Sam- Alexis's daughter, she's a slut, broke up Elizabeth and Lucky.

Luke: the legend, one cool guy, can make you cry he is so good


Elizabeth: mommy, loyal friend, great girl, only lies for good not evil


Carly: selfish, hypocrite, if she can't have someone no one can


Lucky: lost his appeal long ago, can't take responsibility for his own actions, likes to blame Liz


Lulu: A chip off the old block, cool kid, sweet like her mom
Reply:Sonny Corinthos - Worst character ever in the history of soaps. He's an annoying little greaseball with delusions of grandeur, and because Guza has a hard-on for the mob, he always gets his way. It's disgusting.





Luke Spencer - He's been written so completely out of character for the past few years, I really don't know what to think. But I still like watching him onscreen because he's such an integral character -- plus in his scenes with Tracy, both actors sparkle.





Elizabeth Webber - Lying liar who lies. She used to be boring, but okay; now she's just awful. She's a hypocrite who puts her own feelings before her children's safety.





Jason Morgan - He's a murderer-for-hire. Need I really say more? It's abhorrant, they way he's glorified on the show, and the fact that people just lap it up is sickening.





Carly Corinthos - She's a shrew. Back when Sarah Brown played her, she was at least the type of underdog character you could root for, because as horrible of a person as she was, she always got what was coming to her. Now, the writers act as if she can do no wrong, and it's really quite dull.





Lucky Spencer - So pretty, but so, so dim. I like him. I hate the way everyone throws his addiction (which is a DISEASE, not something he just randomly decided would be fun) back in his face. He worked really hard to come back from that, whereas Liz lied to him remorselessly for months.





Lulu Spencer - I hate to say it, because she's a legacy character, but she's a shrew. They've turned her into Carly Jr. I can't believe this is supposed to be Laura's daughter.
Reply:I enjoy all the characters except the last two. Lucky was good years ago but the writers have made him so inept. Lula can be sweet and interesting but very annoying
