I have been hired to help my city council in an effort to improve crime prevention methods within my community and I'm suppose to Construct a ten-question survey on the community's feelings about local crime prevention efforts. The community I live in is Kenmore Washington. But I'll take anyones help if I can get it.
Can I get some help coming up with 10 survey questions about local crime prevention efforts?
1. I think that City Hall has hired the wrong person, if you need to be getting help at this stage, and you turn to Yahoo! Answers.
2. Your questions should focus on local initiatives and issues, and they are apparent from a quick look through the City of Kenmore Police Department's webpages. You need to ask about people's views on these matters (have things improved? do you feel safer? are you involved in any initiatives? etc.).

Reply:I think burnt warm orange would go very nicely with the white contrast. It gives off a fort of ambiance that you want diners to notice as they are eating. Dim lighting is the best way to go as it adds to the elegance, but NOT TO DIM, because then it becomes a strain to see the menu, which adds stress to the peaceful and subtle enviroment.

I am doing a presentation on gay/lesbian issues in public schools. I want to hand out a survey to see how tolerant my classmates are of homosexual students going to school with them, etc. If anyone knows where i can find one to print off that would be fantastic!! Thank you!

Seriously, who's s-h-i-t-t-y idea was block scheduling, anyways? I really CANNOT think of anything good that can come out of it, and the only thing that CAN come out of it is you being tardy for your class because you forgot "Oh, I'm supposed to have this class first today." And it doesn't help that they did things like "Tardy Lockouts" where they lock the doors on tardy students and send them to the Dean's Office, giving them detention or whatever other sick punishment they could come up with for their own f-a-g-g-ity screwed up way of doing things.

every middle/highschool in my district follows the traditional schedual. And i personally would like the block better becuase it gives us more time to get our homework and studies done before we have to turn it in or have quiz's or tests.

Many are substance abusers in an effort to self medicate. Insurance problems arise as "nobody wants them without it in private institutions." Lastly, you can call other surveyors in the area.. they may already know about your property from having surveyed nearby and can simply put you in direct contact with the original surveyor.. or they can assist you (for the cost of their time) in finding who did it and how to get a copy.

No you won't get in trouble with the 1SG. During both my tours as a 1SG I made sure that I only saw the consolidated results and not any particular form or comments.
However I still played the game of predicting how many people were going to make negative comments about me. And I was right most of the time.
BTW - the only way you can tell if you are 'liked' by a senior NCO is wait until after they retire. The troops I was hardest on were the ones I felt had the most potential.

Which would only be found out IF whatever was written causes the unit to initiate an investigation into "the matter" i.e. depending on how you worded the text around "threatening." Can I get in trouble for filling out a Command Climate Survey and put negative comments about our 1SG?
No you won't get in trouble with the 1SG. During both my tours as a 1SG I made sure that I only saw the consolidated results and not any particular form or comments.
However I still played the game of predicting how many people were going to make negative comments about me. And I was right most of the time.
BTW - the only way you can tell if you are 'liked' by a senior NCO is wait until after they retire. The troops I was hardest on were the ones I felt had the most potential.

Anyways, I am an NCO and I will use the leverage of UCMJ action to try and "last chance" a soldier into squaring up and paratrooping like he should. Yet all things considered, its never the same- down here on the line we do things different than the "others" or "REMF's" or so I've seen.
BUT- you cannot be punished. UNLESS you make false statements. Which would only be found out IF whatever was written causes the unit to initiate an investigation into "the matter" i.e. depending on how you worded the text around "threatening." So as long as everything is honest, to the point, should be no problems-- and if there are, two fateful initials will fix it............... I.G.

I hate having little dents where other people didn't pay attention getting out of their car and banged my car with their door, and I hate having my numberplate or bumper scratched by other people being unable to park properly.

My kids are 10, 5 and 2 so I am asking just for the fun of it. What did you use to treat diaper rash? Our tried and true method was Boudreaux's Butt Paste (yes that's the real name) and it was usually gone by the next change. So what do you use and how long does it typically take to heal it?

The butt paste is awsome. My daughter had such sensitive skin and would get diaper rash from anything and we tried many diff creams and the one that worked on her bis was no help to her. We tried the butt paste and it was a god send for us!
Reply:I love Aveeno and Method brand diaper rash creams. I start using it at the first hint of redness and before bed. They both work great and the redness is usually gone by the next change. I love that there is no strong scent that lingers on your fingers. I hated A%26amp;D and Desitin because when I would eat later and bring my hand to my mouth, I would smell diaper rash cream - ick! I used Boudreaux's Butt paste with my 2nd child and really could take it or leave it -- I really didn't like the scent. It worked well, though!

You can find it in a tube in the baby section, or you can find it in a tub in the lotion section. My husband has terribly dry cracked feet particularly his heals and this smooths them right up!!!

Does anybody know about Survey Monster where you get paid to take online surveys? Is this legit?

There are several survey sites that are legit, your not going to get rich doing them though. Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join. I am a member of several. I have done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete also. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. Pinecone is also great. You have to have an invitation to join though. They send one or two surveys a month. They are great though cause you will have a few days or a week to answer the survey if you don't check your email religiously. Then they send a check in the mail pronto. Surveyspot has tons of really short surveys most of which you only get an entry into a drawing. However they do have many paid surveys also. You can just go to their site everyday and answer surveys you don't have to wait for them to be emailed to you. They do some previewing of tv commercials and tv shows. I have done a couple tv shows which involved watching an hour long program (45 minutes without commercials) and answering some questions about it - with payment of $20 so that was nice.
Most pay a few dollars per survey completed so it is best to use several. You also need to be a regular email checker because if you don't respond to the survey fast enough they have met their quota.

There are several survey sites that are legit, your not going to get rich doing them though. Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join. I am a member of several. I have done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete also. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. Pinecone is also great. You have to have an invitation to join though. They send one or two surveys a month. They are great though cause you will have a few days or a week to answer the survey if you don't check your email religiously. Then they send a check in the mail pronto. Surveyspot has tons of really short surveys most of which you only get an entry into a drawing. However they do have many paid surveys also. You can just go to their site everyday and answer surveys you don't have to wait for them to be emailed to you. They do some previewing of tv commercials and tv shows. I have done a couple tv shows which involved watching an hour long program (45 minutes without commercials) and answering some questions about it - with payment of $20 so that was nice.
Most pay a few dollars per survey completed so it is best to use several. You also need to be a regular email checker because if you don't respond to the survey fast enough they have met their quota.

I don't believe a study can be proven to show idle emissions do more harm than while a vehicle is moving. 2. almost every day, probably 6 of 7
3. 6/10 because sometimes im on my lunch break and dont have time for anything else and sometimes i just want to take it and eat in the privacy of my own home in my jammies. and pretty much the only time i dont use the drive thru is when someones with me.

5. im not all gung-ho about it to be honest. i feel like our cars DO contribute but im not convinced that by stopping use of the drive thru it will make any great improvement. i feel like private jets and mansions are more to blame for being harmful
6. wow, how should i feel by answering major? i mean, its not like we couldnt do without them but they are great to have so im gonna have to say major, especially since i eat out so much.
7. nominal being the key word. i feel like if the govt cared all that much about it to begin with they wouldnt have to create a new tax - they can use a few cents out of the next unearned raise theyll get to contribute. or i know, how bout instead of blowing trillions of dollars on the war, we use it for those purposes. OR instead of depleting my social security funds on luxuries for politicians - put some of it to good use.
8. 15 cents on the dollar or per transaction? on the dollar - NO WAY. and maaaaybe 15 cents per tansaction. because of my feelings (stated in the answer above) on the whole EXTRA taxes i think id stil have a problem with it.
9. 2 to 3 cents to be honest. thats probably the highest it could go without angering me and considering how much drive thrus are used - that could really add up. and there are people like me that go to drive thrus sometimes twice a day

5. Global warming is a farce. It is nature. 1934 - 1940 was the hottest period in recent history as proved by NASA. I don't think emissions contribute. Flatulence from cows emit more so called greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than cars.

I appreciate the fact that you care about the environment. I do care but when you enter the real world and start paying taxes and mortgages you realize that your priorities change. Most students love to take on causes and that is great bit the reality is they have no idea. Winston Churchill had a great quote that you will find very relevant later on in life.."anyone who is in their 20's and not a liberal has no heart, anyone who is in their 30's and not a conservative has no brain." Focus on cutting the pork barrel spending so the American public does not have the financial burden of all these new taxes. Cut the pork and spend it on the environment.

5. I do not believe in the Greenhouse effect, and I believe that idle emissions are less than those emissions from traveling. I don't believe a study can be proven to show idle emissions do more harm than while a vehicle is moving. It is only because in big cities it is easier to do test on air quality because the air is thick with emissions, but a vehicle that moves, not idles, gives off more emissions.

Like your survey and see where you are heading with this I think. It is a noble idea and you are thinking outside the box which is good. Don't give up on that. I feel though the likelihood of anything good coming out of this is just a good grade for you.
