i think they neeed to come over legally if not legal given a certain time frame to be legal or have to go back
Reply:They need to be departed to make room in the system for LEGAL immigrants who did it the right way. They break the law every day they are here. And the above poster is 100% correct, Mexico has a very harsh border policy towards its southern neighbors. I think our policy should mirror Mexico's policy....stop them at the border. Unfortunately, Mexico has a relatively small souther border compared to ours.
Reply:illegal immigrants need to be sent back to where they came from. if they want to stay let's say in the US than they should get a green card
Reply:they gotta go back and do it the right way. if a country can't control its borders, then it isn't a country. mexico has strict immigration laws--but we can't have laws?
Reply:This question gets asked all the time. Basically, America is a country founded on immigration...unless of course you are full blooded American Native.


Having said that, if you want to come to this country as an immigrant great....but PLEASE go through the proper channels.


If you can't do that, then really you can't be an American because as we all know...if you are an American, you have to learn to stand in line, pay your taxes and sit on the phone when it comes to the government.

Reply:if you are going to come into this country...u need to become a citizen. All these immigrants are getting free rides to a lot of things that WE have to pay for. And relating to mexicans coming into America...i suggest they learn english. I am not against mexicans full force but I am against the ones who waltz into America illegally. And this goes for any other country having immigration problems.





America has fought for her freedom!!! If they are going to take advantage of this freedom the least they could do is become a citizen!





Several months ago, a (illegal) mexican lady was driving (no license either) on the road...and hit a woman and killed her. That made me mad.
Reply:Deport them all. They come here, they break the law, they start breeding at 14, then expect the hospital to eat the cost because they only make 2 dollars a day because they have no social security card.


Hospital eats the cost then get reimbursed by raised taxes. And who's pocket does that come out off?? Well tax payers not illegals. Every Sunday i read the arrest reports, 90% of the names are Hispanic decent. My cities sex offender list, out of the 28 listed, 24 are of Hispanic decent.


Yes i live in Texas. Just last year a Dallas police officer responded to a domestic disturbance and was shot and killed by an illegal. If this scum wasnt allowed to cross, there would be three little kids that would have got to spend last Christmas with thier dad.

2. In a country where people are sent to prison for driving illegally without a license, or trespassing illegally into a private property, or drinking illegally, or forging documents illegally, how come illegal immigrants are always rewarded for breaking the so called law?
Reply:I think they should try to come into this country legally, but I understand why they come. Many come because they are hungry. Some are children. Many of them give their life savings to shady characters to enter this country. Others walk across desserts or cling to the tops of rail road cars. Many are risking life and limb to come to America. I think the United States needs a better legal immigration system, so immigrants from other countries can enter the country legally, work in jobs where they pay taxes, and abide by our laws - instead of living in a shadow society where they can be taken advantage of by employers who skirt US employment law.





I also think there are a lot of misconceptions about illegal aliens. People think they're just trying to skirt the system, but do you know how much it costs to apply for legal US citizenship? HUNDREDS of dollars. If you're making $2 a day, where are you going to get hundreds of dollars? We need a guest worker system, not a bunch of fear mongering. ("Look out! Those Mexicans are going to take your job!")





Many people are coming here to pick lettuce and to clean hotel rooms, jobs that Americans do not want to do but need to have done. And crime? When you're in the country illegally, you're less likely to commit a crime because you know that if you get caught you're going to be deported.
Reply:I think if our government would stop giving them handouts, like foodstamps, insurance, etc. then we probably wouldn't have as many problems as we do.
