Pie chart represents the results of a survey about whether people in a certain town have cats or dogs as pets?

If there are 900 people in the town, how many people have both cats and dogs?

Both - 22%

Neither - 6%

Dogs only - 44%

Cats only - 28%

I would draw a circle and divide it into the percentages listed for the 4 categories. They total 100%.

1/2 a circle is 50%, so the 'dogs only' would be a little less than half the circle.

Continue with the rest until it looks about right.

Being perfectly exact is not necessary.

To figure the number of people that represent each category

multiply the % by 900.

Example: 22% X 900 = 198

Be sure to label each part and use different colors too.
