Reply:It really depends on what age group.

For example, I would totally recommend the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer for for teens, but not necessarily for kids younger than15. On the other hand, I would recommend Harry Potter for anyone at any age (except the last two books, cause I hated (*hated*) those.)

Other books I like (for kids):

- Bridge to Terabithia

- Anne of Green Gables

- Little Women

- The Narnia Books (aka The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, etc.)

- Cam Jansen series

- The Bernstein Bears

- Babar

- Madeleine

- The Wizard of Oz

- Nancy Drew and/or Hardy Boys (I preferred Nancy Drew more, but the Hardy Boys weren't all that bad)

- The Babysitters Club

- The Sweet Valley Twins (or any of its series)

- Charlotte's Web

- A to Z Mysteries

- Geronimo Stilton

- Screech Owls Series

- Junie B. Jones (or anything by Barbara Park)

- Magic Tree House (or anything by Mary Pope Osborne)

- The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton (although...not for kids under grade 8)

- The Tillerman kids series (Homecoming, Dicey's Song, A Solitary Blue, etc.) (or anything by Cynthia Voigt)

- Any book by Robert Munsch

- or by Judy Bloom

- or by Eric Walters

- or by Jean Little

- or by Gordon Korman

- or R.L.Stein

That's all I can think of at the moment....hope it helps.

Reply:I have come to like Harlan Coban books (all of them). They are humorous and not difficult to read. Also Tim Dorsey is very humorous also. His main character is a serial killer (only offs bad people) and it is very funny and fast moving. Jack DuBrul is a nice action/adventure writer. His main character reminds me of a cross between James Bond and Indiana Jones. Check them out, especially Tim Dorsey. I think you will like. Thanks for the 2 points!
