just looking for honest opinions, and seeing the stereotypes that are out there. so be honest=)

Survey: What are your feelings about people from the Southern states of the US?
Im from NC and i am not a trailor trash white peson haha so i wanna see how this turns out lol

Reply:I'm from Michigan and I unfortunately don't know anyone from the southern states...but I like their accents and how laid back they seem to be.
Reply:Look now, I live in Arkansas, and I'm not a native, but I have to say that the reputation of this state is well earned. I have never lived anywhere else that the IQ quotient was lower than the gas prices. Maybe it's the rural area I live in, but when you are aked "what time is it" and you answer with a quarter of, and they say...huh what's that mean? Makes my head hurt.

Reply:I live in a southern state. They had this t.v. show based out of the city I live in on fox or ABC a while back and they made us out to be thick accent rednecks or some sh*t. I hate it. Cause if someone finds out your from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas they automatically assume your sitting on some back porch some where shucking corn!
Reply:Most of my family is in the south. Generally a slower pace of life and friendlier people.





There are trashy, illiterate people EVERYWHERE. I don't think of the south like that.

Reply:Born and raised in NC, now living in Texas, and I feel sorry for Northerners because they don't know what "sweet tea" is...... ; )

Reply:I think the stereotype is that they are very polite and curteous. (anyway, more than NYers)
