How can I get people to participate in my survey?

I am really stressing right now. I need more 29 responses for my survey. It's for a Research Methods course. How can I get more people to participate in my survey? It's a survey about Affirmative Action. Would any of you be interested in taking a survey? If so, can I have your e-mail address?

How can I get people to participate in my survey?
You can send it using the Yahoo Answers email function. You will have to accept replies back, though, if you want people to return it.
Reply:potomacbarrels@yahoo.com
Reply:Well you could ask for permission to set up a table in front of a grocery store and explain your survey to them and see if they would allow it.

You could ask users of Yahoo Answers if they would be interested. What I would be concerned with is not having my email address spread to other people.

So send a mass email to users of Yahoo that allow email ask them if they would be interested be sure to explain in each message what the survey is for and what its about (copy and paste the same msg in every email) and your sure to get enough people soon enough.

Best of luck to ya.
Reply:Well, back when I took a similar course we did three things. One, everyone in the class acted as guinea pigs for everyone else. Two, our psych department offered bonus points for people who took part in research projects. Three, we just asked complete strangers a la Unicef and Amnesty International volunteers on the street. Failing those you can also set up your survey on a free online site and get people to fill it out that way.

Reply:Online surveys work like this. You take a survey, about half way through or at the end of the process, you find out that you didn't qualify, so you wait for another survey to come through. You start it, find out you don't qualify, so you wait for another survey.

When you aren't getting enough surveys and didn't make any money, you go sign up with another survey sitep. And the cycle just repeats. The person behind the site makes money from the advertisers who pay a fee to have their surveys taken.

I've done both, the pay ones and free ones. I guess I didn't fit into the group that they were looking for because I spent hours a day filling out forms and never got a dime. I did do traffic exchanges for about 6 months, advertising someone else's affiliate program and made $.85 for about 4 hours a day clicking 4 days a week and a dollar of someone else who bought into the affiliate program I was advertising. Considering I had to have $20.00 accrued before I could actually get a payout, I decided it was in my best interest to move on.

People claim that you can make money doing these free things, a few even claim they are making money. I only know of one guy who actually said he made $250 doing surveys, but he had to sign at over 100 sites. There are a lot of promises and guarantees thrown out there, but from my experiences, I can tell you if I am going to give my time away, I think it would be better spent volunteering at some local business where at least I would feel some sort of satisfaction at the end of the day.

I wrote a blog about advice for working from home. It's all generic and not a sales pitch. A link is in the 2nd paragraph of my profile here on answers. I would invite you to read it as it also explains how to do a search on these offerings that are being spammed.

Always do your homework before you jump blindly into something. At least one of these offerings is illegal. Remember this also, it's not like they are really doing you a favor as they either earn points or a few pennies for getting someone else to sign up from their link.

Reply:Many people these days are making money online with paid surveys. I have found that these paid surveys are especially suitable for students. Since many students are living with a tight%26lt;!--budget the several hundred dollars that can be made monthly is a big help and the flexibility of taking paid surveys online is a big plus for students as well. To join these companies, you dont need a credit card and the best part is that you dont need to pay anything. Its FREE.

These are three of the top reasons that paid surveys are so well suited to students. Students spend a good--%26gt;part of their time online already. Paid survey sites place a premium on users between the ages of 13-25 3. Most students can benefit from the extra money earned with paid surveys
Reply:Visit http://blogger-talk.blogspot.com/ and search for the info within their site. It has a lot of good money making links, tips on how to make money online, and work at home opportunities.
Reply:Online surveys can be great for some extra cash, but it isn't making a living and it isn't a job.

NEVER pay to take surveys. There are lots of legit survey companies out there and they never charge a fee. You won't get rich from it, but it can make for some good "fun money." A few I know of that are legit are:

SurveySavvy.com

Testspin.com (pays in Amazon.com gift certificates)

GlobalTestMarket

MySurvey

Lightspeed Panel

Opinion Outpost.

There are lots more, but that's all I have just from memory.

You can do an online search for "paid surveys" and see what comes up. Anything that asks for a fee is trash, ignore it!

How do I find out a answer to survey a property?

I need to know if there is a dispute about a property line which one is correct? Would it be a GPS survey of only one property or the metal stakes that were orginally put into the ground on the property lines. This is in the State of WI.

How do I find out a answer to survey a property?
Whether or not GPS is used to perform a survey makes no difference in the quality of the survey. A survey done with GPS could be good or bad, just like any other survey. If you are trying to survey your own property using GPS, your work will not stand up in court, since only surveys performed by licensed professional land surveyors can be presented as evidence.

If your neighbor has a survey done by a licensed professional, and you do not agree with it, you have no choice but to hire your own surveyor, and let him know you are hiring him because you need help in a dispute. If your neighbor has surveyed their property with GPS, and you have a survey done by a licensed professional, then you have nothing to worry about, since nothing your neighbor does with his GPS unit can change your property, assuming your neighbor is not a professional surveyor.

If there are two surveys, both done by professional surveyors, and they show different property line locations, then you will need to either reach an agreement about the location of the line with your neighbor, or if you cannot agree, then you will need to go to court, where a judge will decide which line is the true boundary.
Reply:I work in a real estate law firm in North Carolina, and we just go by the metal stakes and the recorded subdivision plat plan. Hire a good surveyor, that survey will more than likly hold up in court if it comes to that.

SURVEY: Is a "Wii" really that much fun? What do you like about it?

I'm considering getting one with that economic stimulus check.

is it more for kids or teens?

can adults have any fun with it?

is it good for families?

SURVEY: Is a "Wii" really that much fun? What do you like about it?
i like how u can actually play the sports. in baseball, you got swing it like your swinging a bat, same in football, you have to do a throwing motion. its awesome.
Reply:a wii is a lot of fun to play i know a family that has one and the parents play it too
Reply:It's more for families with kids or young teens. 360 and PS3 are more for older teens and adults.
Reply:its good for everyone especially with friends
Reply:I LOVED it for about a week, then got sick of it.

I am 16.

and I think it is most fun when you are with a bunch of friends, not alone.
Reply:My neighbors have one and we were hanging out one night having a few drinks and playing bowling on that and it was a blast....that was one of the only games they had at the time. They have a ton more now and the kids love it and so do the adults
Reply:umm not reallyyyy.

i only play guitar hero. thats all.

it gets boring after a while

its for everyone i guess.
Reply:Yes to everything. Get it!

How would one know if a paid-survey website makes an influx through "tax backup"?

i was about to sign up for a survey site when the terms read that anyone paid over $600 is required to have an IRS form sent to them. even though i'm not with reading documents and stuff, i don't want to get stuck with tax issues. also, i saw on oprah how many people were tricked by false contests and sweepstakes so i'm just wondering.

How would one know if a paid-survey website makes an influx through "tax backup"?
Yes, to be legal, they have to send a 1099-misc to anyone making over $600 for the year, and report the earnings to the IRS. On most of those websites though, unless you manage to suck in a lot of other people to join up using you as a reference, this won't be an issue.
Reply:It is for you to check if the site is trustworthy or not.

Yes, if they pay you over $600, they will ask you to fill a IRS tax form.
